Lauren Wells is a Graduate from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she earned a BA in studio art and she intends to pursue her master’s degree in Art Education. She graduated from Converse College in May 2019.
Wells is a resourceful artist working in drawing, painting, ceramics, and printmaking. Her most recent work includes working with vine, white, and compressed charcoal and ink creating a series of images that represent animal symbolism.
Her inspiration for her work comes from learning about the connections to animal spirits in the traditional beliefs of different cultures from around the world. She had artwork in the student juried art show and ceramics selected for incursion during her sophomore, junior, and senior year.
